Recipe Additions:
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
6 cups chicken broth
1 whole, boneless chicken breast, cut up into small pieces
Optional: extra chicken parts (2 wings or a leg) Optional: 1/4 cup white wine Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe
Directions:
In a 3 or 4 quart pot, toss vegetables lightly in melted butter over low heat. Add broth, turn up heat and bring to a boil. Add chicken breast pieces, reduce heat and simmer covered for 15 minutes. (For an enriched broth, simmer optional extra chicken parts for 30 minutes in the 6 cups of broth. Remove parts, reserve broth and proceed with recipe above). Bring back to a full boil and add noodles. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Stir in wine, if desired. Turn off heat and allow it to cool a few minutes before serving. Variations:
Frontier Soups House Fried Rice Recipe Add 1 cup of long grain white rice while sautéing soup mix. Stir in 4 cups chicken broth. Cover and simmer on low 15 minutes. Add in noodles, simmer 10 minutes more until all liquid is absorbed and serve!
